It's easy to knock this fine Stoke-On-Trent band. Their sound is very traditional, in fact it's old-fashioned British Hard Rock. Their image is strictly workingmen's club. In short, they're a million miles from the '90s world of glamour in Rock. They just don't belong in tbe world of Enuff Z'Nuff, Warrant and Skid Row. But, judged on musical quality and craftsmanship, as music should really be judged, Demon are a worthy act who have much to offer.

This, their eighth studio LP, contains a number of strong songs, presented in an unpretentious yet quite solid manner. The musicianship and arrangements display more than a hint of talent, while vocalist Dave Hill evokes true emotion. Not destined to become one of the year's most talked-about releases, 'Hold On To The Dream' is nevertheless, eminently satisfying.
