Just out of interest (and this is for Neil really); any details of where the new Demon album has (or IS being) been recorded/mixed/mastered etc? And how are things progressing? Any title/cover art ideas yet?

Hi giles and ken the new album was recorded at summerbank studios in tunstall stoke on trent earlier this year and is currently being mixed elsewhere. We have a couple of album titles but the band havent decided on a final title yet,as i have said before we dont want to release info that turns out to be incorrect later,im just as eager as you boys to get the album finished and released.

As regards the album cover we have a couple of people working on ideas and haveing seen the quality of them im pretty sure you wont be dissapointed they look mega...its a catch twenty two situation untill the titles decided we cant pick a cover...

Next year will hopefully be a busy one for the band and i have spoke to dave hill about a special leek arts gig next year i promise you its one not to miss ...neil

I asked about key sounds because some of them are of a certain era very breathy type sounds ,i wanted to know if steve thought these would be slightly dated..not in a bad way i must add..like snare sounds of a certain era def leppard for instance had a massive reverby thud not what would be used today. If you listen to the first van halen album it still sounds current probably because of how it was recorded all live with no samples.A hammond for instance is timeless as is a grand piano ....

I find it astounding that there are not even any titles when the work on the album started two years ago. I can only imagaine that they (Demon) abandoned the whole project and went back to the drawing board!?! Either that, OR it's a big secret for a specific reason!?!?!

Giles you are partly right when ray left we had to work on more tunes for the album it wasnt abandoned it just meant 5 6 songs of rays werent available. As i have mentioned before, we are not releasing details untill we are totally sure of whats going to be on and whats not.As you know as a song writer yourself it takes a while to work on songs keeping it in a similar genre and upto a standard to be released worldwide this is why its taken longer than we would have wanted. It wiil be released of this im sure ....

I understand Neil, thanks. I suppose it's nicer in some ways not to know what to expect. I appreciate that music takes time; I had a new song idea a month ago and still not put much more down 'on tape' - but loads of it is in my head!! So I do understand. Cheers.
