The new album is as we speak being mixed and mastered 12 to 14 songs to choose from at the moment.A couple of epic type slower ballads two out and out rockers and loads of catchy hooks for you demonites to get your teeth stuck in to.We have no exact release date as yet but i can assure you its going to be well worth the wait...The job of mixing is being taken care of buy mike stone and mr hill and from the snippets ive heard so far its sounding massive..

We are also coming into the 21st century and releasing the new album and some back catologue material on i tunes spotify and other like minded sites hopefully making it easier for people to access DEMONS back catologue. We also plan to do as many gigs as we can next year so look out for the gigs at a town or city near you ........neil

Thank you for that information Neil. I will check the material out as soon as it is available.

Hey, any tracks you don't include on the album - still make available eh? Quite often I enjoy tracks not included on a final selection for the album - Nothing turned out right immediately springs to mind with Demon.

Hi giles im not to sure what we are going to do with the songs that dont make the album its up to mr stone,we have recorded 20 songs alltogether including two new versions of old classics these may see the light of day soon I think we plan to put 12 14 songs on the new album as i mentioned earlier not to sure of the running time of these, this may dictate how many go on it seems most bands are keeping it to around 50 minutes we may do the same....

Blimey, it must have been a sacrifice to enter name, email address and register as a member here then!

You run a business and I write software that saves lives so I doubt time is the issue with others.

Let's just hope that the 90 or so that have somehow found the time to read your news can find some minutes to listen to the album eh?

Oh come on mate, work started on this two years ago, there MUST be some definite titles by now. Not to worry, it's a good sign that so much thought is being put into it.

Is Mark Potts doing the artwork?

We have two maybe three definates for titles the ideas changed slightly when ray sadly departed just before we were going in the studio hence ,we had to write a bunch of other songs because ray took his ideas with him as he should have.We dont want to release anything just yet as we want to be 1000 percent sure everything is as it should be you will just have to trust us on this one We arent trying to be guns and roses ha ha i promise as soon as i get anymore news il be straight on here for you .....neil

Thank you Neil man. Crikey, it's like waiting for Def Leppard's follow up to Hysteria (not that I did of course - wait in anticipation).

Well, you have us all in suspenders here - even the 100 or so 'peering behind the curtains'! ha ha

So, reading between the lines there, Ray wrote some songs (probably without lyrics) and when he left he basically told Demon they couldn't have them!? Rolling Eyes

Ray didnt say we couldnt use his songs we just felt it wasnt correct to use them ...its a pity as he is a very talented writer and musician maybe they will see the light of day in the near future. If everybody who has written songs with dave hill agrees to let them be released we will have enough material for the next ten years ....

Oh, I see. When you wrote 'he took them with him', I took that a bit literally.

Ray IS a talented writer and musician (God knows what he sees in KISS - ha ha!!), that became very much apparent with the 'Spaced Out Monkey' album.

I have to say I can't wait to hear the new record. Every time I see Dave, he says it is coming and as the great Gunniess advert says, 'Great things come to those that wait'. 20 tracks!! I wanna here them all, Neil, how about putting sound bites on and letting the fans pick their favourites, or do a Guns and Roses and release a Use your illusion 1 & 2!

If you do put some sound bites up here Neil, maybe change (or get someone to change) the band picture as well; Paul Johnson and Andy Dale must be wondering which one of them is actually in the band at the present time!? Rolling Eyes

Funny thing is, as far as bass players are concerned, it isn't me , it doesn't seem to be 'Fasker,' who is it? Can anyone guess? Well I'll tell you, it is none other than RAY WALMSLEY. So a bit of cutting and pasting should sort the photos out. I thought that not being the person on the edge of promo shots would secure my position in the band. Obviously not.

Don't contribute as much as most - don't have quite the intimate association with the band as some on the forum, so can't partake in some of the "banter" that goes on. Does make facinating reading though!

I have been saying for quite a while now that I want the first CD off the press (signed by the band) - that still stands. Happy to pay now if it helps achieve my goal..... Very Happy

Hope that there will be a couple of gigs down London/SE England way next year as well.....

No intamacy or 'banter' required for discussion. I don't know any of the members of Demon (never have done), and if I did; it would be much more likely that I would have less to contribute if anything. But in that case, my position would possibly change to one of attempting to answer questions that a fan my have - as Neil is attempting to do here.

It is my belief that it has nothing to do with time and commitments and a lot to do with how deep, thorough, sincere, profound people are.

I understand what its like as a fan of a band to feel as though nothing is happening and that your being kept in the dark about albums release dates titles of songs etc..thats why ive tried to keep you all informed about gigs songs and general happenings in demon. However ive also learnt not to say things to soon and untill its 100 percent done and finished ,one things for sure we all have a common love of this mad rag tag band that over the years have produced some classic and memorable rock songs and no matter where in the world you are someone has got the albums.Another thing is there seems to be more people joining the forum and alot more activity unless thats just because ive been involved more myself and taken more notice..we need you people to keep commenting and giving us your feedback about the live set likes dislikes anything you need to get of your chests basically...neil
