Hello Shogberg, with respect if you want THE PLAGUE Style buy THE PLAGUE if you want BSA Style Buy BSA, whats the point of doing again what we have already done, the band always try to do something different and most of their albums need a few plays before the penny drops. Monkey

I think he is saying that prefers that prog rock style for Demon, not 'copycat' albums by them. To be truthful, I DO think fans like a band to stick to a certain style (within reason) and genre and work and be imaginative within that genre, otherwise people would not stick with certain acts/bands and the music business would be quite chaotic. When Queen released that 'Hot Space' thing, Queen fans were 'up in arms' and rightly so, if you wanted disco/dance you would buy disco/dance surely?

Demon have never settled on who they are and what they do and this is what has caused them a lot of problems in my opinion - that, and the fact that they don't really promote themselves like other bands do.

the band always try to do something different and most of their albums need a few plays before the penny drops.

I don't think Demon ALWAYS do anything/something different. The new album is a straight ahead 80's hard rock/metal album and not original in any way, shape or form. The only albums that were really quite "different" were the ones that featured Steve Watts as co-composer and SOM. The ones with Steve Watts featured more complex arranagements and used keyboards in a much more dynamic way that was quite different in hard rock - especially in the late 80s early 90s. SOM is a fabulous and unique blend of Prog Rock and Hard Rock - I can't think of an album like it, it almost dounds disjointed, but it isn't - it works from the first track to the last.

I do agree though, that Demon albums require a few plays - always!

Hello everyone ...i'm not dead...
well before buy Unbroken thought and hoped that sound was as similar or equal to Hold on to the dream... oh well patience is not. However, I am still same happy because I know every album of Demon is a good work and especially because every job is never the same as the previous ones.
Personally I am of the opinion that tastes can't be discussed - sounds, melodies, rhythms - you may like it or not, but believe me, criticize a job because he expected another sound well ... I'm speechless.
There was the hard rock era and a prog era and now a new revival of old metal sound
For me they re always large and in great shape.
I say no more.
If you were a member of the Demon, you'd be happy with a similar review? Uhm i think not... Hi mate!
