Is there any reason that Demon have never played Manchester, England? We are talking about a 30 year career of a hard rock band based 40 miles from arguable England's second city which is industrial and thus full of hard/heavy metal rockers. There are (and have been) many suitable venues too. I find this fact most odd. Rolling Eyes

...was there a fear that Demon actually one day may have got past the one-off pub/club circuit? Rolling Eyes

Stoke City are in CREDIT !!! and not MASSIVE DEBT!!!

About Manchester it is a strange phenomena DEMON not playing MANCHESTER, I can't really answer that one maybe MANCHESTER are simply not INTERESTED,I have tried in the past maybe this year who knows.

UNITED have the greatest income and revenue streams in football, they are the biggest and most valuable, most supported sports club on planet earth. They are rich by their own means and have never had any benefactors. On the contrary, the guys that bought the club, took loans out to purchase it and saddled the club with a large debt which the club has managed to service due to the sheer size (no other club could do this).
If you wish to view this as a debt and Stoke in credit then do so, but I think you know the truth - or you should do - but then maybe not coming to think of it. Actually, I wouldn't put this pass you as a reason to bypass Manchester actually.

They should be, Stoke get battered by both year-in year-out (despite being 'roughed up' as a tactic) and can never challenge for a trophy with United (or those blue upstarts these days). Smile Very Happy

Magnum were there only a few nights ago - could you not have got on that tour? It would have done Demon THE WORLD OF GOOD!!

The fact that Demon has not played Manchester is another glaring oddness about the band - EVERYONE plays Manchester - even I have played Rockworld twice!

Sorry for hi-jacking the thread Laughing

ManU & Leeds my favourite teams since young days(read 70's) when Swedish telly showed the Football League from UK on saturdays during the off season in Swedish fotball(nov - march).

Let's hope the new activity on different facebook groups will add some more opportunities for Demon to get more shows!

No, I am originally from Manchester Neil. My parents are from Manchester. Besides, I don't think there is a person in Macc that supports Macc alone anyway.

Ferguson is one of the only prem managers that gives stoke any compliments...thats because he realizes stoke are far more than long ball and dont intentionally go out to ..RUFF PEOPLE UP...if a stoke player gets fouled they dont roll about pretending theyve been shot, they get up and play on unlike most of the nancy boys ,crouch in the last home match a prime example..three front teeth knocked out yet still wanted to play on HARD perhaps FAIR allways
