Do Demon have any plans for this? I do think a little tour would be a nice idea. Maybe a re-mastered commemerative re-issue with re-mixes, outtakes, interviews, rare pics, new booklet - maybe even some samples from the suitcase full of tapes that Mal left Dave? Something surely? There is definitely a market for it.

I first got a hold of The Plague (not literally ladies, you can still touch me ;) ) after hearing a small number of songs on YouTube last year and think it's really an amazing record.

Being born in 1986, It's interesting to hear a record that was much more politically reflecting of the time. The fear of Big Brother, dirty politics and George Orwell's '1984' all rolled into one album.

I don't have many albums in my collection that were made before I was born; Demon's first few albums pretty much make up all of them at this point but I definitely have a special place in my heart for The Plague.

British Standard Approved has a more interesting concept from what I've heard (not currently owning a copy but heard a few songs on YouTube) but The Plague is a very interesting Prog Rock album in its own way and a 30th anniversary edition would be amazing.

STILL...my favorite DEMON LP/CD...and an innovative departure for the band from the first 2 LP's...that,to me...hit a grand slam out of the park...and shaped them like never before. Shows the genious of Mal Spooner...and of course Dave's haunting lyrics & voice...an immediate classic !

Well, apart from the recent coloured vinyl edition, IT IS currently out of print (but so is most of the back catalogue, apparently), so a re-release would make absolute sense.

I wonder, have Demon ever tried to strike a distribution deal with a label like Frontiers records (Italy) or Inside Out (Germany), both of whom operate on a global level, but still are very much driven by idealism (Frontiers specialises in Hard-/Classic Rock and AOR, Inside Out in Prog-related stuff) and have been known to release rather obscure bands and projects as well as big names like Yes, Toto, Journey (all on Frontiers), Steve Hackett, Kansas or It Bites (IO)?
