Just to let you know we are alive and well or maybe not so well, the DEMON era has claimed a victim, unfortunately DAVE HILL has lost 20% of his hearing in one ear and 30% in the other but I spoke with DAVE the other day, he's fine and we'll continue with some recordings not for DEMON probably more a DAVE HILL album, I'm not sure yet, This message is just to let you know we haven't disappeared yet just having some time off. During the next couple of months or sooner UNBROKEN album will be available on VINYL from GERMANY (HIGH ROLLER RECORDS) I'll let you know when I get a definate date and UNBROKEN will also be available via PLASTIC HEAD DISTRIBUTION in JEWEL CASE format both with a BONUS Track "GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE" so something to look forward to all the best Monkey

My best to Dave, soon we'll to crank up the volume on the hearing aids Laughing
I got one in april as I lost most of my hearing on my left ear probably caused by an infection I didn't know I've had...

Solo album, could be a nice one as I love the stories Dave has put on the older records.

All the best to Dave. Hope he will get well soon.
Good news indeed: a vinyl album and a new Dave-record...
I am looking forward to it.

My sympathies go to Dave Hill, hearing loss gets most of us at some point - it got me about 17 years ago! It's particularly frustrating if you write and record music of course. If it's flat loss (unusual) - you can simply get away with just cranking it up in music, and 20% and 30% isn't too bad at all really.

As far as i know Mozart was simply thumb. So there is a good forecast for Dave´s further musical journey...
Sure you´re gonna make it, Dave...
Best wishes to you

Sorry to hear that... if it's any consolation, I've also suffered hearing loss (in the week of my 30th birthday...) through an infection. Initially it was 45% in the right ear and 20% in the left, I received plastic auditory ossicles in the right ear, and by now my hearing has returned to 20%.

I remember having terrible problems singing, my pitch was way off, and it took me about a year (and singing lessons) to get used to that somewhat muffled sound and the initial imbalance. I can only wish Dave all the best and I hope he fights his way through it!

Interesting, though, how many people on this forum have suffered from hearing loss - maybe we shouldn't have cranked up those Demon albums so loud? Laughing

Very sorry to read that and I wish Dave all the very best. As well as the same for the recordings. Good luck with everything.
