Absolute Goliath of a song. One of the best rock ballads ever written.

This bombastic "rock opera-anthem" brings back a lot of memories from when I was young, maybe a better person and it joins my best time with possibly one of the best hard rock ballads. Sad this epic work hasn't become more popular and better known. It'd deserve it ! *sighs

Brilliant haven't heard this for 20 years and it took me to back immediately i heard the haunting intro. Any chance of a Bristol gig or somewhere within 50 miles want to relive a fantastic Bierkeller night?

I love this song. Steve Watts, you rock. This song never gets old, and at 11 minutes it's not even close to too long. I always wish it hadn't ended, and I'll often play this song two or three times right in a row. I'd love to hear Demon take on another album this grandoise and ambitious. Dave's sentimental lyrics are very relatable and I love 'em. Long live Demon!

Hi Mike,

brilliant comments on the song!

Guess its always the same problem with the radio stations. Compared to the commercial power of a Rihanna song this is still an unnoticed minority. So, if a radio DJ has to chose between these two options, with the background of the need of gaining an audience due to get a maximum payment for broadcasting advertisements, you will know what he will do...

On the other hand: a radio track = 3.30 minutes!

In fact there are many small radio stations around the world who are specialized on a specific type of music. So as well there are metal stations. The pity is that they are all together will not have the penetration level of one single major station.

The amount of constantly broadcasted "metal" songs by major stations can be counted on one hand:
1. Nothing else matters
2. Wind of change
3. some Guns and Roses stuff
4. some Bon Jovi
5. Van Halen´s "Jump"

You may decide by yourself how much "metal" those songs are...

So, don´t worry Mike. It is the way it is. We "Metallians" have to live through other media and it works.
Rihanna will never play at Wacken! Very Happy
