Blowout, hmmm it is an odd album. When I first heard it I thought it was average. I mean it does not sound like Demon. Plus it is a mixture of styles the first two tracks sound like American rock.. the Freedom track sound very like the Alice Cooper one.

Two more listens and there are a few good tracks. Mostly it is all fillers though.

So my question would be was it rushed out? After the departure of SW they should have gone back to the NWOBHM of the first two albums.

I used to think Spaced out monkey was the least . Now I have kinda got used to it. I love singing your a monkey to my pal as he hates that track so much.

Best album for me. Heart of our time. There was something about that album that just connected with me on every level. Second fave would have to be Taking the world by Storm.

First album I listened to back in the day was Demon... rise.. rise... Superb album...

Though I really also like Breakout. The cover is superb. That must have looked so great on vinyl.

I actually like the Blowout album.
It's more straightforward guitarbased than the other albums, but that probably depends on Dave's writing partner on this album(Steve Brookes) Smile
